Jacquelyn Hynes is a freelance London based multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator.
She plays silver and wooden flutes, sax, piano and pipes, and also composes. She has supported Ireland’s leading musicians including Martin Hayes, Michael McGoldrick and Lunasa, and performed with Donal Lunny and for President Mary Macaleese. She has composed music for The Gate, KAOS Theatre, Snap Theatre, The Arcola Theatre and most recently Tyneside Irish Festival. She is Flute and Folk lecturer at Morley College and Flute Coach for the award-winning Hackney Music Development Trust.
